Exactly. The excuse that teams based their strategy on that just shows lousy gameplay. If you’re to play such an important event such as this you should be ready to improvise and adapt to changes in the world. If you can’t adapt in such a long frame of time then you have no business playing CE3.

People complaining that NA will have to war only if it’s unlimited ticks, they can just do nothing now with the tick limit. Lmfao if you attack them, them defending is not gonna count as warring?
Also why the fuck are people comparing winning with unlimited ticks to the situation now? The end conditions are fundamentally different. It’s like saying your football goal doesn’t count since it wouldn’t have gone through a basketball hoop.

The amount of salt in this thread is honestly pretty remarkable. Some of you in Asia coalition talking so much shit about how HINI’s diplomacy and strategy this match has been awful, while literally being in the position you’re in due to one particularly bad decision is pretty ironic too, not gonna lie. Now, with that out of the way, I’ll say this.
I honestly would be pretty surprised if the admins opted to change the rules of CE3 in the middle of the era, for a number of reasons, most of which have already been stated above so I won’t waste the space to re-iterate them. However, despite this, I do admit that I would support it.
I’ve been playing BD for roughly a decade now, and I think this era in particular has shown a spotlight on some fundamental flaws in the game’s design, primarily focused around the use of camps. To say otherwise and pretend like this was an intended design, or an engaging game mechanic, are likely blatantly lying to serve their own desires in this particular era. Because I don’t think anyone foresaw how the era would play out in terms of the entire map being nearly completely filled with ops and camps, I don’t think its completely unreasonable to request that the rules be changed to meet the current status of the game.

Camp wall was used on CE2. It has been used on many other era’s since then. As Kuzuma pointed out, the first major camp wall was made by the AT/SGC coalition. Didn’t see anyone calling for an unlimited extension back then. Hell you even had the HINI coalition deicide to peace with AT/SGC partially due to the wall and partially due to SGC’s threat to stack multiple alliances on their relic. That’s another “fundamental flaw” yet we didn’t see “extend the era” due to it.
Regarding Asia and HINI, I think at the end of the day if neither win, both will have been in the same position regardless of the decisions either made. Only the winner can say they made the correct decisions.

This just clearly shows that people rather spend their time on a game instead of real life with their families, wife, kids, girlfriend/boyfriend ect ect. Go get a life, 4000 ticks is already 166.66 days (5.5 months roughly). As people have stated, most people have taken time for some period others haven’t and been working full time and still play. Go find yourself a job or do something with your life but clearly the ones crying for tick extensions aren’t successful in RL then and guess want to stare at a computer screen.
Go ask yourself is it worth spending possibly a year staring a screen day in day out just for you own entertainment with people just quitting slowly cause they noticed it is a waste time that they have wasted on a pointless game that will never end an ruin their life, relationship, health status ect? Consider all this, you need to know the difference between a game and what’s most important but clearly you people here don’t.
If you think its worth the tick extension just to ruin your life then you need to really reconsider yourself. Cause I can literally guarantee that people will start leaving after a month of extension.

Ehhh I mean your decision making puts you in a tough position to win the era so the point still stands…
What is unreasonable though is disregarding the unfairness to the people who planned the whole era and strategy based around the tick limit. We’re not talking about a random rule here, we’re talking about a time limit that would decide the winner. To change a fundamental rule half way through the era, is to throw away any trust or integrity in the game. The game would be rigged and there would be no point in playing it if you can simply turn around half way and change the rules in a way that would benefit one side more than the other.

Well clearly shows you support the stupidity of this decision, and not caring about your own and other peoples life…but instead to ruin them just for a game and to see who wins. Grow up…spending nearly half the yr on this game and yet you want to extend it and potentially ruin people’s health clearly you should feel bad for even considering a tick extension or even bringing it up without even considering the side effects on everyday life.
Btw if it does change to unlimited ticks, and 2k ticks later if NA is still standing in the same position and Neutron gets half the world to cry, will it be changed back to having a tick limit? Why not? Because that would change strategies?
