I sometimes get confused by silly things,
Just to check its relic amounts that matter more than power so say I suicide all my troops in the last hundred so ticks in a dumb gambit but end up with majority relics when ticks close I win?.
Cuase if the rule is like that the era will be pretty awesome right at the end as people start yoloing it and stop caring about preservation. Also since relics are so much more imp than normal can we have like e5 rules where they not allowed to be more than 24 ticks for a coast or something like that.
Edit: Forgot to mention this will lead to massive sub suicides as well. So really fun as i see everyone having 40+ squads due to mass boosts and time
Well at least we know prior. You can formulate a game plan so long as you know the rules at the start. 2500 may seem short but itll also prevent folks from showing up at the 10th hour (or tick 3000) and coming in fresh to win it all when everyone else is months into being tired (aka my usual tactic).
On the one hand that does sound like fun, on the other hand I donât like the idea of mass sub suicides being a good strategy. Perhaps some people see that as the way to become âchampionsâ, but to me thatâs not really what winning the Champions Era is about.
I definitely agree that itâs important to know the rules at the start. I would prefer it if no tick limit is set as a clear rule right from the start, not because I think the era will actually go to tick 6k but because then itâs clear to everyone that trying to stall to win the era is not a viable strategy. Setting a tick limit, unless itâs a ridiculously high one, will definitely get people into a turtling mindset.
To me it seems preferable to have a long era where turtling and parking at home is not by design a good idea. I would rather have a long era where people know they will have to go all out and grab all relics, so essentially beat everyone, rather than a shorter era where a large percentage of the era will probably be filled by boring turtling.
An all out era where you need to beat everyone to me sounds far more like a Champions Era than a turtling championship does. Thatâs my 2 cents. If youâre going to be caught off guard by people showing up at tick 3000 then youâre maybe not cut out to be the Champions anyway
I fully agree with your point, its just gonna be a fact if what happens as most teams now a days have made subs an extremely integral part of their game plans and most major teams in the end will def have multiple subs so its something thats gonna happen regardless. With a tick limit even if the relic thing is removed and score is all thats left it gets kinda worse as then youll still have the sub suicides but also sub farming will occur
