Has it ever happened that a tick limit was extended by a vote? If so, what were the circumstances that lead to it being extended.

it has happened before but wont be happening anymore. it was set in stone by @Alexander that all eras should be as promised since some players made plans that had the end of the era in account and they wont be extending any eras because then they might get blamed for the outcome.
