I have the outmost for what GML did in the past. And for tabula. But based on what they did this era, they don’t deserve top spot. Just look at the stats of every player and you will see no major battles, not much activity and in general a lot of sit and build.
Again that doesn’t mean they are not great players. They are. They just didn’t show it this era where it matters most - wars

So they’ve played their diplomacy perfectly and have been able to avoid wars while the world fought. That’s one way to win an era and they seem to be going down that route. Everyone that has made deals with them are just as responsible if they win as GML will be.

I personally remember being attacked by Zeus and ares both this CE…maybe others would too if they had fought more. But, then again that could not be possible because according to some WOOF did nothing this era just like Zeus…tsk tsk silly wabbits.

facts. 
i have respect for GML, they used the tick limit to their advantage and were able to play their cards right.
Being able to stay out of conflicts is also a skill quite rare in BD.

Hi Cosmin - I get the notion of comparing ZEUS to GML, but that’s not the case as it is evident but our play-style and our roster (there are 4 original “GMLs” in the roster past their prime).
Having said that, allow me to disagree in terms of activity and the necessity of wars; our diplomat, mentioned the other day whether one could win or maintain a healthy position on that game by just using words. It’s a challenge by itself and does require a special effort and a different approach on the game; being inactive is not a part of that.
Luckily enough that’s a very refreshing round which reminds us of the older client when you would actually need to talk & fight your way into the win since you had to deal with 5-10 major powerhouses on a server of 2k players.

Fair enough on the roster composition. Sadly all of us who started in the OC are past our prime ;). But if we add vulnar that would make it 5.
Absolutely respect that diplomacy can also win an era, it’s just that if say we decided to make CE a 10 relic win condition only, then the way ZEUS played the game would put them at a disadvantage to say Hini or the so-called NA coalition. And even without that, when you share almost all your territory with least 3 other top 7 alliances, it will truly take a diplomatic masterpiece for NA to allow a score win by ZEUS. That remains to be seen I guess
There’s also my personal preference for big wars and putting the flag on my enemies. But you’re right that’s a matter of taste and approach to BD.

Why is everyone now bringing up Zeus’s play style but 2000 ticks ago no one really cared haha. Got to love all the cry babies here. They bring it up when the era is close to an end but not considering what they also did to allow this to happen haha funny. GG to zeus well played

Who is going to win CE? Who will lose? Who will cry? Who will die? Will salt be poured? Will dirges be sung?
Will the war gods triumph? Or will sweet words touch the hearts of gods? Will a wild card take the era out of the blue? Or will the relics be simply passed to someone to win?
Everyone is scheming and scheming, but who is actually in control of the master plan? Does anyone know how it will end or will the ending shock everyone entirely?

True. I get why you’re mad. I would be mad too if I got hit that hard. And yes, you’re right. I’m not going to win or be in the winning team cos I’ll most likely make sure my friends try to be xD.
That’s the beauty of having CE as your last era , you don’t really care for glory anymore.
Not here for the banter and swearing though cos that’s for little kids. Let’s remember this is all a set of pixels we are clicking on simply trying to crash our pixels into each other.
